Jacqueline Acosta

Jacqueline Acosta is a graduate of the Masters in Dietetics program at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin. Jackie discovered a passion for nutrition after volunteering in the TX Sprouts study, where she provided nutrition education and helped build school gardens for low-income elementary schools in the Austin area. Her professional goal is to help increase access to culturally competent nutrition care for patients from a Mexican background. Jackie enjoys traveling and trying different cuisines, but her mother’s caldo de pollo remains to be her favorite food.
